Alessandro Piperno

Alessandro Piperno, born in Rome in 1972, is a novelist, essayist, and literary critic. He debuted in 2005 with Con le peggiori intenzioni, an editorial success and finalist for the Premio Viareggio. He continued with the diptych Persecuzione and Inseparabili (Premio Strega 2012), followed by Dove la storia finisce and Di chi è la colpa. He taught French literature at the Università di Roma Tor Vergata and writes for the Corriere della Sera. His works explore family memory, Jewish identity, and the contradictions of the bourgeoisie.
