
Roberto Andò, born in Palermo in 1959, is a film director, screenwriter, and writer. After working with Francesco Rosi, Federico Fellini, and Michael Cimino, he debuted as a director with the documentary Diario senza date (1995) and the feature film Il manoscritto del principe (2000). His films include Viva la libertà (2013), Le confessioni (2016), Una storia senza nome (2018), Il bambino nascosto (2021), and La stranezza (2022), starring Toni Servillo, Ficarra, and Picone. In 2025, he released L’abbaglio, a historical comedy set during the Expedition of the Thousand. He has published novels with La nave di Teseo.
