Cristina Comencini, born in Rome in 1956, is a film director, screenwriter, and writer. After studying economics, she began her film career in the 1980s and directed films such as Zoo, Va’ dove ti porta il cuore, Il più bel giorno della mia vita, La bestia nel cuore, and Latin Lover. She has also worked in theater and television. Alongside her filmmaking career, she has published novels including Passione di famiglia, L’illusione del bene, and Flashback. Her work often explores family dynamics, generational relationships, and female identity.
