A. M. Homes, nata nel 1961, è scrittrice e sceneggiatrice statunitense. Ha esordito a soli 19 anni con il romanzo Jack (1989), a cui sono seguiti In a Country of Mothers, The End of Alice, Music for Torching, This Book Will Save Your Life e May We Be Forgiven, vincitore del Women’s Prize for Fiction 2013. Ha pubblicato racconti in raccolte come The Safety of Objects, Things You Should Know e Days of Awe, oltre al memoir The Mistress’s Daughter. Nel 2022 è uscito il romanzo The Unfolding. Collabora con testate americane e britanniche, ha scritto per la televisione (The L Word, Falling Water) e insegna scrittura creativa a Princeton.
