Walter Siti was born in Modena in 1947 and lives in Milan. He is a writer, essayist, literary critic and television writer. He has taught at the universities of Pisa, Cosenza and L’Aquila. He was professor of Contemporary Italian Literature and edited the complete works of Pier Paolo Pasolini for Mondadori’s “I Meridiani” series.
He has published novels, essays and narrative works. His books include Scuola di nudo, Un dolore normale, La magnifica merce, Troppi paradisi, Il contagio, Autopsia dell’ossessione, Resistere non serve a niente, Exit strategy, Bruciare tutto, La natura è innocente, Contro l’impegno, I figli sono finiti and C’era una volta il corpo. With Resistere non serve a niente he won the Premio Strega in 2013. His most recent works include the novel I figli sono finiti, published by Rizzoli in 2024, and the essay C’era una volta il corpo, published by Feltrinelli in the same year.
