Francesco Piccolo, a novelist and a screenwriter, has published, among others, La separazione del maschio in 2008, Momenti di trascurabile felicità in 2010, Il desiderio di essere come tutti, awarded with the Strega Prize in 2014, Momenti di trascurabile infelicità in 2015, and L’animale che mi porto dentro in 2018. He has collaborated with film directors of the caliber of Nanni Moretti, Paolo Virzì, and Marco Bellocchio, winning several David di Donatello and Nastri d'argento awards. His latest novel, published in 2023, is La Bella Confusione.
