Journalist, writer, editor of the Catholic magazine La civiltà cattolica, theologist, critic and teacher, he is a Catholic priest of the Jesuit Order. He started writing for the magazine that he today edits in 1998, mostly supervising the literary critic, contemporary arts music and movie sections. His work is focused on the analysis of the new media and the use of Social Networks, form digital literature, to the use of new communication forms, through hacker philosophy and online avatars. In 1998 he founded BombaCarta, a project that coordinates several creative writing, videomaking, and reading initiatives. In 2011 has been appointed as consultor for the Culture Pontifical Council and Social Communication Pontifical Council. Since 2020 he writes a weekly homily for the newspaper Il Fatto Quotidiano.
