Chiara Valerio
Italian writer, editor and translator, she has a PhD in mathematics. As an editor she works with the review Nuovi Argomenti and contributed to the literary website Nazione Indiana. She writes for several Italian publications as Il Sole 24 Ore, Vanity Fair, La Repubblica, Amica, Domani and Rai Radio3. She is the Italian literature editor at Marsilio publishing house, in Venice. She co-wrote the subject of the movies Mia madre, by Nanni Moretti, and La tenerezza, by Gianni Amelio. She translated Virginia Woolf and many other authors. She published several fiction and nonfiction books, among which Almanacco del giorno prima (2014), Storia umana della matematica (2016) and Il cuore non si vede (2019).
