Andrew Sean Greer
Born in Washington, D.C., in 1970, Greer lived in New York City working several different jobs, such as chauffeur, maitre in a hotel and TV author, then he moved to Missoula, MT, Seattle, OR, to finally settle in San Francisco, where he started contributing to several papers and magazines and in year 2000 published his first short story collection, How it Was for Me. Gifted with a powerful humorous writing, the following year he wrote his first novel, The Path of Minor Planets, that lead him to popularity, reinforced by his following books: The Confessions of Max Tivoli (2004), crowned Best Book of the Year by The San Francisco Chronicle and Chicago Tribune and winner of the California Book Award, The Story of a Marriage (2008) and The Impossible Lives of Greta Wells (2013). With Less (2017), a humorous novel that using a fluid language and analytical depth deals with gay relationships, Greer was honored of the Pulitzer prize for Fiction in 2018.
